Two important parts of this story are missing. One is "before" narrative telling why the two brothers ended up on opposite sides in the war. The other is the "after" narrative, describing what happens to the sniper after he discovers he has killed his brother. Write a paragraph summarizing what you imagine would be told in the "before" or "after" narrative. 150 words.

My brother and I were the best snipers in the whole army, so our country decided we would be put on separate sides of the war to make it fair. Our family was devastated, and wondering what would become of their only sons. The question that kept popping into our heads was. what if we killed each other? Who would ever know and how would they be buried.

After killing his brother the sniper laid there in shock and his mind blank. He thought if he had known it was a family member he wouldn’t have done such a thing. Then he remembered he machine gunner, put his brother’s hat over his face and ran away from the body. Once he was far enough away he sat against a wall and thought about how stupid the war was, how if it never stared he’d be happy with his family and especially his brother. Life was different knowing he was gone but at least he knew he was in a better place. A place without wars, violence or depression. He knew his brother could be happy again. Happy in a perfect place filled with happiness. He knew that one day he could join his brother side by side once again. Brothers through life and through death, nothing cold separate them.

My family is falling apart, but I can't quite put my finger on why. My father keeps talking about how the northerns are stupid and they shouldn't be allowed to live in the country. With me and my brother out of the house, my mother trying to defend the northerns and my father siding with the british. All they do is fight, I thought that all I had left was my brother, but I have o clue where he could be. I joined the core as a sniper, for the northern side that is. Never once have I seen so much killing in one place a one time. I lay on the roof with my sniper waiting for action.

Before the war, me I would always take my brother out on hunting trips. We were the best snipers, we taught each other basically. It was just me and him, and if one of us had a problem with someone it wasn't just his problem. We BOTH had a problem, we looked out for each other. That all changed when the war started. As soon as the war started, the army split, and sadly, me and my brother were put up against each other. I tried getting contact with him, but they would never get to him unless I had by chance ran into him during battle.

Thom and his brother were good buds before the war. They played and shared stories all their lives in early childhood. But when the war broke out Thom was taken by his mother and his brother by his father who both had different opinions of the war. And at present day where Thom is staring into the eyes of his brother. Forgets everything and is in shock. For he had killed his only friend and little brother. He stands up, lifting his brother's corpse into the street in front of the machine gun. At first they didn't know what to do, then they fired. As Thom lay next to his brother dying he whispers in his final breath"I'm coming and Long...Live...Ireland" Now they play together in the heavens.

Brothers, twins born on the same day, always together inseparable in fact they did everything together from going to party’s to getting girls. Until one day everything changed, the boys had just had their 23rd birthdays and one of the twins had just gotten married. The other twin disagreed with the marriage saying that the man’s wife was not right for him and that she was only using him. The twin that had just gotten married disagreed, one day when the man had came home he’d caught his wife in bed with another kicking them both out of the house he’d called his brother tears running down his face stricken with grief. When his brother answered and heard his sobs he was quick to ask what happened but when his brother had told him he went silent. When his brother called his name he only replied with an “ I told you so.” And hung up, that had torn the two brothers apart they hadn’t talked to each other in five years only hearing details about the other from their mom. The first twin had decided to go into the army after hearing about all the benefits that came with it. He hadn’t known his brother had joined also. On a different side… the enemies side. When he looked into the face of the other sniper realizing it was his brother he was came over with grief and sorrow he had shot his brother, his only brother. He cried day and night until he finally decided that without his brother he couldn’t live, he hadn’t even told him he loved him and as he made his final decision grabbing his gun and putting it to his mouth he pulled the trigger his brains splattering onto the ground. He couldn’t live without his brother, He wouldn’t.
