I agree with John Donne’s “Meditation XVII”, because we truly do need people no matter how much we think we don’t plus it is better to go through something together than alone; two is better than one. We would be worse if we were completely alone in this world.

In "Meditation XVII," John Donne argues that "no man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main." I partly agree with John Donne's idea, because even though we are a piece of a whole, doesn't mean that we do belong with each other. Loneliness is bad, but putting different pieces that would cause a chaos is worse.

In "Meditation XVII," John Donne argues that "no man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. I agree with this statement a lot because in my opinion i believe that we are not all alone, as well as we need to be around other humans to survive, and we all have problems in life its just different for every person.

“Meditation XVII,” written by John Donne, believes that “no man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main." I argue that this is true. To say that you’re all alone is always a lie because that means you are not noticing the little factors in life that do not make you all alone. On a wide scale factor, countries who work together appeal to this quote, along with a small scale factor, when a neighborhood works together. You may feel like an island, but you are always part of a bigger continent.

In Meditation 17, Donne says that no man is an island, entire of itself, every man is a piece of a continent, part of a whole. I agree with this statement. We all need someone in our lives. We may feel like an island, but we are still a part of one big continent.

John Donne, in his “Meditation XVII”, argues that “no man is an island of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.” Personally I believe that this statement is true, because what we do doesn’t only affect us, it also affects those who are around us. No matter how badly you with you could just spend forever alone and on your own, you will never get away from civilization.

In the poem “Meditation XVII” by John Donne, what he means by “no man is an island” is saying that nobody is alone. I agree that we need people to survive because say that you’re sad and you need a buddy to talk to or that you’re going through tough times and you need some company to take your mind off of things. Friends are a good example of why people are needed in the earth; friends who truly are your friends can understand what you’re going through or what you’re feeling. They’re there to help cheer you up, to make you laugh. When John Donne said that “every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.” He’s saying that what we do doesn’t affect not only, us, but others around us. We, as the human race, are one even though we may be divided by race, gender, and political and religious views. Our everyday life consists of communicating with other people; like getting a job, you must have a sense of communication with your fellow work members. If you can’t have a simple conversation with them, then you’re likely to be hired. You meet people all around, walking, driving, hanging out, etc. It’s also a bad idea if you were to bottle up your emotions instead of reaching out to family members or friends to discuss, or to be given advice on what’s gotten you the way you are. You need people because they supply you with the essentials needed to live. Farmers, medics, these are the people that are needed for survival. People also need communication with one another to survive, and to say that no man is an island is a correct statement. So, yes, I do agree with what John Donne was saying in his poem.

In "Meditation XVII," What John Donne meant when he said, “no man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main." Is that everyone in the world is not alone and will come together at one point or another. When people have troubles at times we come together even if we don’t agree with the other person’s opinion on something or they just don’t like that person. A lot of people come together naturally because of common interest or them being forced to hang around each other a lot like how people are in the military or people going to school. People work better together if they are friends with the same interest because they are more likely to work well together and not argue as much about stuff. If people hang around others they are uncomfortable with it could affect their way of thought. Socialism is also important outside of school because it could help you get a job by either how you talk in an interview or if you know people that could help you get a job. Basically everything we do in life consist of talking to other people whether we are on the internet or not. We should also remember that the things we do have consequences and that they not only affect us but those around us also. An example could be if someone was asking for a ride but you ignored them and kept driving but that person was an important person for something. If you had helped that person not only could you have benefited from it but that probably could have had a bigger effect on other worldly things then you know. So people come together all the time to help each other out and that is what I believe he was talking about.

In Meditation 17 by John Donne, he argues that “no man is an island of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.” By this statement John is trying to say that you are part of a bigger picture than just yourself. I would agree with this statement because you cannot live life on your own, you constantly rely on other to support or provide certain things you need to survive. For example in today's world most people rely on the grocery store to provide their food items. We rely on others to produce items needed to sustain life instead of producing them ourselves.
