As students and parents, I would like you to preview the website that I am creating to improve a more technology-infused classroom.

I wish the font was darker so it would be much easier to read. I would like for there to be a calendar with all the homework assignments and due dates so its easier for students to visually see and plan ahead. Overall the site is very informative and easy to navigate!

1. You should add a help category, and have a string for every assignment we ned help on to collaberate. You should also add an assignments folder and upcoming events page.

1. Put more links on each classes page, such as homework or upcoming important dates.

I would like to see the due dates of major assignments. There could also be different links to papers explaining year-long ideas, like SOAPS & DIDLES, and essay rubrics. Maybe the different vocab lists could be added as well. Overall the site is very easy to navigate.

I personally think having a website for these classes next year is perfect. I know as a student I was often searchinig for some help online to find things and to know that there is somewhere easy to go where I can find those resources is perfect. I think the navigation is extremely easy as it is now. The tabs are right there and easy to click on then explore. I think it would be a great idea to have due dates for things posted, I know that was something I sometimes struggled with at the beginning of the year if I forgot to write an assignment down and it would be good to know there is a site like this that is reliable to check to see when something is due. Another thing I think would be good to add (if it is not already on here and I just missed it) would be just an easy tab to find that had all the rhetorical devices on it (with definitions) that we could print out. I think that is much needed study item especially when it comes down to the time of the AP exam and if it is easy to access and print out online then students wont have to bug the teacher about getting copies. (it might be smart to do the same with the vocabulary for the little vocab quizes). Everything else I think is good. (:

1) I would like to see a list of the rhetorical devices and logical fallacies, as well as a calendar to make it easier to see when certain items were due, as I often temporarily misplaced my sheet you handed out throughout the year.

I really like the website and that it is really straight forward to use and to navigate. I do agree with Aubrie on the font, it would be easier to read if it was darker. I think this is a more easier and exciting agenda then the one's in our binder. I like that the website is very simple and doesn't have any complicated areas. I think its a perfect way for the class to stay in touch and to figure out our agendas for next year!

1. It would be nice to see the prompts for the papers due so we have some place to turn to if we ever misplace our paper explaining the topic of the writting assignment.

On the resources page if it could include grading rubrics, vocabulary sheets, and maybe some of the papers that are generally posted to the Student Common that would be helpful. I thought the website was overall easy to navigate but the amount of information on each page was a little overwhelming. Maybe you could add additional pages to fit all of your information. That would make it easier to get on the site and find what you need, without making navigation a word search. Additional helpful information would be contact information on the home page and maybe a calendar with assignments and due dates.

An element that I think would help students would be to put the assignments up on the website, because even though we have the printed out agenda, sometimes people lose it or leave it at school and we might not be able to figure out what the assignment is and that would be bad for both the student and the teacher because the students has to turn it in late (if the teacher accepts it) and the teacher has to grade it later than everyone else's.

1. I think more images would benefit the website. Also maybe changing the cursor to a stack of books or a pencil would be neat. I think the essays we need or resources we need for a particular project should be available online. Also there should be a calendar with all the upcoming due dates on it.

Having a website for this class is a great idea! It would be helpful if a copy of all of the major assignments were on here, as well as examples. It would be nice to have examples for some of the regular assignments such as SOAPS and DIDLS, annotaions, and other such assignments so students have an idea as to what is expected the first time they have to complete such things. I think the helpful links tab is a superb idea. If all the text could possibly be darkened a bit then the website would be perfect!

I definitely agree with everyone in that a calendar of when homework is due or what the assignments are, like the agenda you handed us in class would be very very helpful! I also agree with Luke that having an extra string on the assignments, explaining in more detail would be helpful as well. Otherthan that, the website is easy to navigate and maybe a few pictures would be fun too.

Having an site for this is a great idea, and I think it's a great addition to have the assignments and the schedule for when things are due on here as well. It's easy to navigate through the site and everything is relatively easy to find, and the amount of information thats added in will be very helpful for next year's students. I don't believe anything more could be added to this site that wasn't already mentioned by one of the other students, because I believe that most of what any new student would need for this class can be found here easily.

I think this website was a great idea. I really like how you have it broken down into classes with subcatagories within those. It is very easy to navigate and provides a great deal of useful and helpful information regarding the class you have.

1. I agree with everyone that it would be good to have the dates of the assignments on the website, also a copy of the vocab words would be nice to have, because I know throughout the year I tended to misplace my vocab sheet, so having a copy of that would be nice.

The site should have a calender that contains all of the assigned/due dates for homework, essays, and tests.

1. This is a great website to use for students and I think that other teachers should start doing this as well. A couple things that I would like to see is a due date calandar for all of the assignments, essays, etc. But instead of having just one paper for both classes, i think that it would be nicer to have separate; one for A day classes and one for B day classes since sometime both classes are at different areas of the curriculum. Another would be to have scanned assignments on the website in case a student forgets the paper at school and the individual can easily just print it out at home and do it then. It would also help having the rhetorical devices and vocabulary sheets on the site as well so, again, if an individual forgets the paper at school to study at home, the individual is able to find it online and print it out and study.

I see an online source of information as an unbelievably beneficial aid in the course of English Language. The only components I believe to be lacking are an online calendar/agenda assigned with major due dates as well as a defining page of literary devises and logical fallacies.

I agree with most of the commenters on the thread; the webpage is really easy to navigate, and I find that it's easy enough to read. An AP Lang. calendar would definitely contribute to the page, and I would be glad to come up in seminar and help create the calendar, before the year's over.
