My biggest advice to next year's class is to not procrastinate. When you're assigned an essay, start working on it as soon as possible. The sooner you start working on it, the better off you will be in the long run.

Advice to all you reading this...just do your work. Do the work as soon as you get it, because I guarentee if you wait you'll be drowning in the paper handouts we get every class. And if you're thinking of missing a day of school, don't miss AP Lang, because one missed class = a weeks worth of homework. Take my word.

My advice to future Ap Lang students is DO ALL THE WORK ASSIGNED!! If you do all the reading and all the writing that is assigned to you right when it is assigned, then you will be successful.

Just do your work. If you finish your work on time then you don't have to worry about playing catch up for the next few weeks because you were behind. Get your work finished, but put your best effort into what you are doing too.

Try your hardest to turn assignments in on time because even though they are just 10 points those points will actually help you out when you don't do well on an essay or a vocabualry test. I also suggesy that you work on assignments as soon as possible because if you finish early you don't have to worry the night before an essay is due or an assignment needs to be turned in. Good luck next year :)

The biggest piece of advice I can truely give is to always turn your homework in and to keep all of your work organized. I can't count all of the times I did the homework and left it at home or lost it in the depths of my bag.

In terms of preparing for the AP exam, my advice is to learn how to write the three essays: synthesis, passage analysis, and argument. Knowing a formula for each of the three essays and how to apply it under time constraints is very important, so make sure to prepare for practice essays given early in the year and take full advantage of all resources given to you to prepare for the essays.

My advice for the students who are coming into this class next year to is like the students before me; to do your work. Do not procrastinate for it'll be bad for you later on because then you'll get into the routine for procrastinating and you can't do that for classes like these. It is called an AP class for a reason; it's advanced so, if you take this class you need to make sure you are clearing it's expectations for a student. Do your homework. Do your best work. Keep up to date with what assignments are due when. READ THE BOOKS HANDED OUT IN CLASS. Good luck.

This is a given, but DO YOUR HOMEWORK THE DAY YOU RECIEVE IT! I cannot stress this enough! Putting off assingments til last minute is only gonna keep adding to your stack of things to do, so knock them out while you can! When it comes to doing the dreaded essays just sit down, brainstorm your ideas out; come up with a good thesis, find your key points to set up your paragraphs, and most importantly find all your quotes and cite sources AS you're doing them, believe me its horrible having to go back and find everything. But once you get your outline done, you just gotta fill in the rest. Good luck!

Hi guys!! Trust me this class is tough. I struggled to keep up most of the time, and found myself falling behind on homework really early each quarter. My advice is pretty much what everyone else has said, get everything in on time or early if you can; especially on the essays. Also, keep the papers that she gives to you close by throughout the whole year, if you lose those you'll pay in the end. Have a binder or something to keep them all in. Also keep the vocab lists on your desk where you can see them at all times so that when you are writing an essay you can just look up and see a bunch of awesome SAT words that you can throw in to boost your grade. That's the main stuff I've got for ya'll. Peace out, and have a good year. :D

The biggest piece of advice I can give a student coming in to this AP class is to simple do the work when it's assigned. There is a continuous schedule of homework and every night you'll get more added to the stack, so get the homework done when she gives you the time so you don't get too bogged down. What's more, she even gives you a schedule for when things will be due adn what will be assigned when, so if you keep track of this you won't fall behind. Also, remember to keep organized. Have a binder dedicated just to AP lang, because you'll need it. There's an endless stream of papers and handouts that you'll need to keep, and having everything organized is going to help you down the road, especailly when it comes time to work on all the essays you'll get this year.

Advice for dealing with Ms. M's classes is as follows. Do your work plain and simple. If you do your work you will be successful in this classes. I am not the biggest book worm and I hardly ever study. But I do the work when its assigned and do not turn in late work or have missing assignments. If you do the same there is no reason you should get less than a B in her class.

Okay, this class is a lot of work....I mean A LOT of work. But my advice to you is to stay on top of all the work, especially if you miss a class. Also study the vocab words! You don't want to end up having to take them on the Final at the end of the year! Also you'll find that the 5 paged essays you used to dread, will be a breeze to write by the end of the year. So just remember to do you work, thats the most important thing.

The Key to success in AP Lang is to just do the work. If you go home & tell yourself "nahh im not gunna do it tonight ill just turn it in some other time" then you will end up behind in all of your work and it will NOT be worth it. The assignments do not take a very long time so just do them. You will then know what it going on when they discuss it in class and you wont have a bunch of zeros in for homework. Also, make sure you keep up with Vocab quizes. Make sure you know when they are so you can be prepared or else you will get burnt. Good luck!

My advice to next year's class is to do all of your homework. A zero in your homework will affect your grade a lot. Also, dont onoly start your essay when its assigned, but do well on them. You will become a great writer in this class. The skills you learn in this class you will use for the rest of your life. This is one class you NEED for the rest of your life. Turn work in and study!

My biggest advice is to only be in APLang if you are willing to do the work. The biggest issue I see are students, sometimes including myself, who decide to procrastinate on the homework and turn it in late. This means that at the end when she has a deadline its that much harder. Also, study for the vocab quizzes so that you don't have to do them later, and so that you can use them also as SAT prep and especially for the APLang exam itself.

As everyone has been stressing, keep up with your work! The hardest part of this class is keeping up with the work load, if you can do that then you are set. Do NOT leave essays until last minute and keep up with the nightly homework assignments. Also be sure you study the vocab so you can do well the first time and not have to retake the quiz, and if you need to retake/make something up do it ASAP do not wait 3 weeks. Best of luck! :)

My advice to next years class would be to keep up with the schedule, make sure you have all your work done on time, if not before hand; and do not, under any circumstances, procrastinate you will fall behind and catching up will be harder than doing the work would have been in the first place.
